Kayvon and I are so grateful to the entire team, and would count it as a great personal favor if all of you would post the fuck out of this video. For those of you on twitter, we're asking everyone to tweet @LogoTV and @PerezHilton and tell them to feature So Gone!
Second, and much less exciting to most people, when I say I'm retiring I mean I just won't shoot with 98.6% of people. I'm tired. I'm fucking tired of showing up to shoots early and prepared just to be flaked on. I'm tired of people telling me I'm too expensive when I know I cost less than comparable models and I'm worth every penny. I'm tired of traveling-I was on the road for 9.5 out of 12 months in 2009, and while I'm grateful that I was able to do it once, I don't want to do it again.
My life is currently very focused on performance. I'm super thrilled that my burlesque shows have been so well received in NYC, and I hope to soon be able to take that show on the road. And the attention I'm not pouring into burlesque is going straight into Kayvon Zand, because I love him and I want him to be successful even more than I want my own notoriety.
Essentially, I will still continue to shoot when I have a personal project (I'm shooting with the amazing Sidney Etienne in a couple of days, for example) or when someone I've already established an excellent working relationship with wants to hire me. But other than that, I deserve a fuckload more respect than the average hobby photographer has proven that they're prepared to dish up.
Now go repost that video!
